Clove Bud Essential Oil is a good antiseptic oil and also a tonic, being uplifting and stimulating to the mind. It is well known for its analgesic effects. It was traditionally used in dentistry and still appears as an ingredient in some mouthwashes, toothpastes and similar preparations.
Clove is used as a spice all over the world. It is a slender evergreen tree with bright green leaves. It produces long buds which change from pink to a deep red. When picked and dried these become the cloves we use in our kitchens and the oil is distilled from these.
