Clove is used as a spice all over the world. It is a slender evergreen tree with bright green leaves. It produces long buds which change from pink to a deep red. When picked and dried these become the cloves we use in our kitchens and the oil is distilled from these. The clove tree is related to others in the myrtaceae family including eucalyptus and tea tree.
