Hydrolats (hydrosols)

Hydrolats (hydrosols, flower waters, or floral waters) are the water that is collected during the distillation process used to produce essential oils. Their therapeutic properties and aroma are similar but not identical to the essential oils from which they are derived.

As they are diluted by nature and thus gentler than essential oils. They can be used directly on to the skin, and make great skin tonics, air fresheners, and perfume bases as well as being ideal for adding to creams and lotions.
