This rich red ochre is mined in New South Wales. Its moisturising properties make it especially suitable for dry or mature skin. We strongly recommend this clay be only used as part of a blend as due to its strong colour it can stain if used alone.
At Essence of Wellbeing we supply our clays dry for you to mix as needed. This means that unlike many "wet" clay masks, we do not need to add preservatives of any kind. Once water is added to a product, bacterial contamination becomes a problem and a preservative of some kind is necessary. We avoid this by keeping our clays dry. We suggest you do the same at home and mix them only as required.
All 150g size Essence of Wellbeing Clays are sold in a resealable tub to protect them & keep your clay in optimum condition.
To make a mask:
just mix 1 teaspoon of clay (one or a blend) in a glass or ceramic dish
with enough water or hydrosol to make a paste. Apply to clean skin'
avoiding the eye and mouth areas. Then relax for 10-15 minutes while
the clay does its work! Finally rinse off the mask with plenty of warm
water and finish with a light application of moisturiser. Your skin
will feel soft and rejuvenated!
FAQ - Are your clays organic?
Answer - Although
many clays are sold as "organic", in fact only agriculturally
cultivated products can be certified organic. Being minerals, clays do
not fall into this category. But while clays cannot be organic, our
clays are 100% natural and unadulterated.
